Friends & Family met at the Kipling Cross just South of Fuquay-Varina last Thursday night. Many wore there “Team Britny” shirts and accessories to raise awareness for domestic violence and remembrance of Britny Jordan Puryear. Britny had been shot to death by her domestic abuser one year before on November 6th, 2014; Leaving behind a beautiful baby boy, Jordan, who recently celebrated his first Birthday. You can see more information Here.
During the event we had wonderful performances from a praise band, speeches from family & friends of Britny, as well as community members who decided to share their own personal experiences with domestic violence hoping to reach to other victims to seek help. Forever in Our Hearts foundation provided hot cocoa and snacks as well as Interact came to support as well as collect donations and laundry detergent for local victims.
To conclude this powerful uplifting evening, close family and friends lit a lantern into the sky to remember Britny.
Britny's parents; Stephen & Shelley, has shown persistent strength to bring justice for Britny this year. Thank you to Forever In Our Hearts Foundation and InterAct for helping & supporting the Puryear family.
I want to personally thank the Puryear family for raising such a beautiful soul and a great friend. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to help spread awareness for Britny.
